🌈 June Recap: Spotlighting Local Causes & Building Community Together

Trivia For A Cause Logo

At Go Local FXBG, every event has a purpose β€” and every trivia night helps shine a light on the amazing nonprofits doing critical work right here in Fredericksburg.

In June, we celebrated connection, inclusion, and education, supporting two incredible organizations:
πŸ’‘ The Knowledge Exchange
🌈 Pride Center FXBG (with FAHASS)

We’re so grateful to everyone who came out, played trivia, donated, and cheered these causes on.

Of course, like any young nonprofit, we had a few growing pains this month with our tech as we figure it all out while building our team β€” but your patience and energy kept us going. Thank you. ❀️

Here’s a look back at the amazing work these nonprofits are doing β€” and how you can continue to support them year-round.

Pride Month may be over β€” but our LGBTQ+ community needs support every month of the year.

Pride Center FXBG, operated by FAHASS, provides a safe and affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals in Fredericksburg and surrounding areas. They host events, support groups, health services, and more β€” creating belonging and advocacy for those who need it most.

Right now, they’re raising funds to help complete their move to their new downtown Fredericksburg space. Let’s help them make it happen.

✨ How You Can Help:

βœ… Donate to their Building Pride in Downtown Fredericksburg campaign.
βœ… Volunteer at events or in the center.
βœ… Attend a support group or social event to build connection.

πŸ™Œ Thank You, Fredericksburg

To everyone who came out in June β€” whether you played trivia, shared a post, donated, or simply showed up β€” you’re the reason this works.

When our community comes together around a cause, everyone wins. You’ve helped raise awareness, support meaningful missions, and remind our nonprofit partners that their work matters.

We can’t wait to share July’s spotlights with you and show even more ways you can plug in, make an impact, and help build a stronger Fredericksburg for all.
