Go Local FXBG is raising $25,000 to expand our Youth Internship & Career Pathways Program through Fall/Winter 2026 and 2027 — creating more opportunities for young people across Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and the broader Planning District 16 region to gain real-world experience, mentorship, professional skills, and meaningful career exposure.
This isn’t an idea waiting to happen. During our Spring/Summer 2026 internship programs, 12 students participated and 10 completed. Students worked on real projects, developed professional skills, received feedback, and created work they can carry into future opportunities.
Now we’re using what we learned to strengthen the program, expand local opportunities, and build the next phase for Fall/Winter 2026 and throughout 2027.

Technology, project resources, program coordination, supervision, and student stipends as funding becomes available.

All four youth completers presented nonprofit proposals, and two college interns returned in expanded leadership roles for Fall 2026.
